Referral service
Brentwood Patio Covers is an independent referral website, not a contractor. We do not build patio covers or pergolas. When you call or send a request, we pass it to an independent local patio cover contractor who serves your area. Quotes, pricing, permits, scheduling, warranties, and all work are handled directly by that contractor. Ask for the contractor's license number and verify it at cslb.ca.gov.
Cost information and its sources
Cost ranges on this site are published national figures, cited where they appear. The sources used, and the dates we read them (October 1, 2026):
- HomeGuide, How Much Does a Covered Patio Cost? (updated February 10, 2026)
- HomeGuide, How Much Does an Alumawood Patio Cover Cost? (September 27, 2024)
- HomeGuide, How Much Does a Pergola Cost? (October 1, 2024)
- Angi, How Much Does It Cost to Install a Patio Cover? (May 30, 2026)
- Angi, How Much Does It Cost to Build a Pergola? (September 23, 2026)
- Angi, How Much Does a Motorized Pergola Cost? (July 8, 2026)
These figures are national, not specific to Brentwood or the Bay Area, and they are for orientation only. Bay Area labor and material costs often run higher. The only price that applies to your patio is the written quote from the contractor who measures it.
Technical information
Statements about lifespans, materials, and how structures are built summarize the cost guides above and general manufacturer guidance. Every product has its own engineering and installation instructions, and your contractor's plans take precedence over anything here. Permit information summarizes the cities' own published pages as of the date shown; rules change, so confirm with your city before you build. Nothing on this site is engineering, legal, or insurance advice.
Licensing and contracts
Our policy is to refer requests only to contractors who hold a current California contractor license. We do not verify insurance or inspect work. Ask the contractor for their license number and verify it at cslb.ca.gov before any work begins. For California's rules on when a license is required and what a home-improvement contract must contain, see the Contractors State License Board directly; we do not restate those rules here.
Images
Diagrams and illustrations on this site are schematic. Any photographs are licensed stock images that show what a patio cover or pergola can look like; they are not photographs of work arranged through this site.
